Jesus Is The Water of Life
John 7:37 In the last day, that great day
of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst,
let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of
his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
Revelation 21:6 And
he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning
and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the
fountain of the water of life freely.
-
Isaiah
12:2 talks about wells of salvation.
-
Our
Father loves us and He gives of the water freely.
-
Isaiah 12:1
And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee:
though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou
comforted me.
2 Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and
not be afraid: for the Lord God is my strength and my song; he
also is become my salvation. 3 Therefore with joy shall ye draw
water out of the wells of salvation. 4 And in that day shall ye
say, Praise the LORD, call upon his name, declare his doings among
the people, make mention that his name is exalted. 5 Sing unto
the LORD; for he hath done excellent things: this is known in all
the earth. 6 Cry out and shout, thou inhabitant of Zion: for
great is the Holy One of Israel in the midst of thee
7 He that
overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and
he shall be my son.
-
The
reason the over comer is referred to as a male is that after the
millennium there will be no difference in sex.
-
1 John
3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God,
and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that,
when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for
we shall see him as he is.
-
Luke
20:34 And Jesus answering said unto them, The children of this world
marry, and are given in marriage:
35 But they which shall be
accounted worthy to obtain that world, and the resurrection from the
dead, neither marry, nor are given in marriage: 36 Neither can
they die any more: for they are equal unto the angels; and are the
children of God, being the children of the resurrection.
Revelation 22:1 And he shewed me
a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out
of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
-
Ezekiel 47 shows us that this water is
going to flow equally to all twelve gates.
-
This shows the fairness with which
God will feed His people
2 In the midst of
the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the
tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded
her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the
healing of the nations.
-
Remember this tree of life was
planted in the garden of Eden.
-
He put cherubim's there to guard it.
-
We know that, Christ is the tree. Because only Gods gives life.
-
The fruit are for the enjoyment of
Israel who dwell within the new city.
-
The leaves are for the healing of
the nations both in and out of the city.
-
Ezekiel 47:12 And by the river upon
the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all
trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit
thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his
months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and
the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for
medicine.
-
We know that sickness was done away
with in
Revelation 21:4
-
So, here we see a divine provision
for preserving joy and fulfillment
-
Which is never boring or even
coming near boredom throughout all eternity
3 And there shall be no more
curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and
his servants shall serve him:
-
Zechariah 14:11 And men shall dwell in
it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem
shall be safely inhabited.
4 And they shall see his
face; and his name shall be in their foreheads.
-
His name shall be in their
foreheads, you know God's word
5 And
there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither
light of the sun; for the Lord God giveth them light: and they
shall reign for ever and ever.
-
The Messiah and the saints reign
for a thousand years.
-
Here we see God reign for ever and
ever
6 And he said unto me,
These sayings are faithful and true: and the Lord God of the
holy prophets sent his angel to shew unto his servants the
things which must shortly be done.
-
He showed us all this so we would
know what is going to happen.
-
When it is going to happen. And
what His servants must do.
7 Behold, I come
quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy
of this book.
-
Whereas, in verse 6 the angel is
speaking. We see in verse 7 that Christ,
Himself, is giving a very personal message to the elect. When viewed in conjunction with
Revelation 3:11
-
We understand that by keeping and
doing prophecy, You keep or retain the crown you
have earned.
Revelation 22:16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these
things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of
David, and the bright and morning star.
-
The city mentioned in verse 14
could not be the heavenly city.
-
Because at that time the sinners of
verse 15 will have been cast into the lake of fire.
-
It is obviously the millennial city
or camp of the saints.
-
Which is surrounded by Satan's army
Revelation 20:9
-
In this verse this is Christ's last
warning that, He is the Messiah, the root and offspring of David.
-
As foretold by the prophets that
He, and He alone, is the bright and morning star.
-
Lucifer, which is the Hebrew word
#1966
-
Which means ''bright star'', only
claims to be Messiah
-
But in fact is Satan, the leader of
the army outside the millennial city.
17 And the Spirit
and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And
let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take
the water of life freely.
-
The spirit is Jesus and the bride
is the holy elect.
-
The bride is not the whole house of
Israel
18 For I testify unto every man
that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man
shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues
that are written in this book:
-
If any man shall add unto these
things. God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this
book:
Deuteronomy 32:4 He is
the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a
God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he.
- God is our Rock = His work is perfect, His word is unchangeable
- God's Rock used five times in this chapter = five meaning = Grace
Spiritual Drink = Rock was Christ = 1
Corinthians 10:4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink:
for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and
that Rock was Christ.
Exodus 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon
the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there
shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses
did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
John 4:9 Then saith the woman of Samaria unto him, How is
it that thou, being a Jew, askest drink of me, which am a woman
of Samaria? for the Jews have no dealings with the Samaritans.
John 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her,
If thou knewest the gift of God, and who
it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have
asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.
John 4:11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast
nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then
hast thou that living water?
John 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her,
Whosoever drinketh of this water shall
thirst again:
John 4:13 Jesus answered and said unto her,
Whosoever drinketh of this water shall
thirst again:
John 4:14 But whosoever drinketh of
the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the
water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water
springing up into everlasting life.
John 4:15 The woman saith unto him, Sir, give me this
water, that I thirst not, neither come hither to draw.
Exodus 17:6 Behold, I will stand before thee there upon
the rock in Horeb; and thou shalt smite the rock, and there
shall come water out of it, that the people may drink. And Moses
did so in the sight of the elders of Israel.
John 6:35 And Jesus said unto them,
I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger;
and he that believeth on me shall never thirst.
